June yatras

a butterfly feeding on Woolsia  (flowering 3 months early) last week

Sunshine! Sunshine! More sunshine! Now is a good time for a day of  walking mindfully, in company, in the Blue Mountains. Both yatras include some barefoot,  and seated, meditation. Once you've registered (see below), I'll send detailed info.

  Easy yatra, Sat June 14:

About 2 -3 hours of walking, 1/2 day, totally gorgeous spot, Mt. Hay area, road a bit rough. Grade 1 - 2.

Middlin' yatra, Sun June 15:
We'll be walking on the King's Tableland ( Wentworth Falls). Generally, it's a Grade 2 - 3 walk. About a 6 hour day - about  4 1/2 to 5 1/2 hours in the bush.  There are facets to the walk and the  track, of Gundungurra history. You only need to have a middlin' level of fitness for this walk. It climbs and descends about 200 meters only. There's a scramble at the end.

Grading:
See Blue Mountains Conservation Society's description at:
 http://www.bluemountains.org.au/bushwalking.shtml

Prescribed Burns:
There is a small possibility that these areas may be off-limits after the recent prescribed burns (Mt. Hay was done this week). In that case, we will walk in another  area.
